Logistics and Supply
OVERVIEW
Logistics is listed as a core system of WARDOGS on its Steam store page, alongside vehicles, fortifications and infantry combat. Team17’s official page describes transporting troops and supporting the team as rewarded actions in their own right. On a map of 256 square kilometres with a Control Zone drawn somewhere inside it, moving people and materiel to the right place is not a side job — it is the difference between a team that contests the objective and one that spends the round travelling.
HISTORY
Supply chains are the part of milsim design most shooters strip out, because they are unglamorous. WARDOGS keeps them and pays for them: Team17 states that transporting friendlies to the zone earns money like any other teamplay action. PC Gamer, reporting on 11 August 2026, described a transport pilot doing exactly that for an entire match and finishing near the top of the money standings. What the official description does publish, read on 3 September 2026, is one way they move: you can ferry supplies to teammates by helicopter. Beyond that single clause, no official source says what the supplies are, whether they run out, or what else can carry them.
WHAT IT CHANGES IN PRACTICE
The practical reading is that transport is a viable way to play rather than a chore someone has to do. Team17 lists it among the paid actions, and the reporting suggests the payout is real. What remains unknown as of 16 August 2026 is the shape of the supply system itself: whether FOBs consume resources, whether ammunition must be trucked forward, and what a resupply run is actually worth. Those are game-file questions, and we will answer them from the files.
WHAT PLAYERS GET WRONG
The problem logistics solves is the one every big map creates: the walk. Players who ignore transport spend a large share of the match not fighting, and then wonder why the score moved without them. The official material confirms that moving people pays, but the numbers behind it are not public as of 16 August 2026. Our cash economy page explains the payment system that makes support work competitive with combat.
Early Access makes the game itself citable. We will re-check this entry against the game, confirm or correct what it says, and update the checked date. If anything here turns out to be wrong, this page will say so — and say when we learned it.
