OVERVIEW
The announcement BULKHEAD had been teasing for two weeks was made on 3 September 2026, and it is a clip competition rather than anything about the game itself. The studio is asking players to post WARDOGS clips of at most two minutes on X, YouTube, TikTok or Instagram under the tag WARDOGS100K, and then register them through a form on a dedicated official site. According to that site, which we read at the source on 4 September 2026, one hundred clips will be picked: ninety-nine of them win one hundred thousand dollars of in-game money, and the single featured clip wins one hundred thousand dollars in real money. Submissions close at 23:59 BST on 8 October 2026 and the results are announced on 15 October, or shortly after. That is the whole of the reveal that concerned this game.
HISTORY
This page carried a written commitment, and it is being kept. On 3 September we published that BULKHEAD had scheduled a major announcement for 18:00 UTC that day, that it would be made on a livestream, and that we would not speculate about its contents — we said we would update once it could be read rather than predicted. It could not be read that evening: the announcement was made live on a video stream, which is not a source this site can cite, and none of the nine sources we watch had moved by the following morning. What made it readable was the studio putting the operation on a public page of its own, and Insider Gaming publishing a written round-up of the show on 3 September 2026 under Grant Taylor-Hill’s byline. We are stating the delay rather than backdating the page: we knew nothing useful on the evening of the third, and we said so.
WHAT IT CHANGES IN PRACTICE
The practical shape is short. Entry requires two separate actions, and the official page is explicit that both are needed: the clip has to be posted publicly with the tag and the studio account mentioned, and then it has to be registered through the form so that the studio holds contact details. There is no limit on how many clips one person may enter. The clock is the part worth writing down, because it is the only hard constraint published: 23:59 BST on 8 October 2026 for entries, 15 October for the announcement of winners. One thing is published as a restriction and not published as a rule, and that gap is real: the official page states that country restrictions apply and refers the reader to terms and conditions, but on 4 September 2026 we could not find those terms linked anywhere on the site. Anyone outside the usual English-speaking markets should treat their eligibility as unknown rather than assumed. We are not going to guess which countries are excluded, and we will update this page when the terms are published.
WHAT PLAYERS GET WRONG
The mistake is reading this as news about WARDOGS. It is not: nothing was revealed on 3 September about the game’s systems, its content, its roadmap or its price, and the Early Access date of 10 September 2026 is unchanged. What was revealed is a marketing operation, and the studio is unusually open about treating it as one. Its own page carries the reasoning in plain words — it says it would rather change a player’s life than pay a comparable sum for what it calls fake advertising, and that it has paid nothing to press to date. That is a claim about the studio, not about the game, and it should be read next to the second thing BULKHEAD did that week: it built its own showcase rather than buy a slot in someone else’s.
