How we know what we publish
WARDOGS is not out. Everything anyone can honestly say about it comes from a small pile of official material and a handful of journalists who played a test build. This page explains how we read that pile, how we label what we take from it, and what we refuse to publish. It is the contract behind every figure on this site.
THE THREE LEVELS — AND NOTHING ELSE
Every fact on this site carries exactly one of three labels. There is no fourth. There is no “datamined” and no “rumor”, because our doctrine forbids publishing either.
Published by BULKHEAD or Team17, in material we opened ourselves — the store listing, the press kit, the trailers, the one-page explainer. We cite the document, and where it matters, the timestamp.
Told by a named journalist who saw or played the game. Always attributed — name, outlet, date — and never merged into fact. When PC Gamer’s Morgan Park describes account-level money, the entry says “Morgan Park reports”, not “the game has”.
We have a reason to believe it and no source that settles it. Said as such, in those words, on the entry itself. An unconfirmed line is a question we are tracking, not a fact we are hedging.
WHAT WE WILL NOT DO
We do not publish leaks, and we do not publish data pulled out of game files by third parties. The game is not out; nobody has legitimately opened its files. Anything presented today as “datamined” is either stolen or invented, and we will not launder it into a database. ⭐ Reading the files of a game we own and installed is observation; republishing files someone else extracted and spread is not, and we treat the line as bright.
We do not turn a journalist’s account into an official fact. Hands-on reporting is precious — it is also one person’s session of an unfinished build. It stays attributed, at the REPORTED level, however convincing it reads.
We do not invent a figure because a page looks empty without one. 0 of our 8 categories are empty today, and they will stay empty until the game ships. An empty shelf that says why it is empty is worth more than a full one that lies.
ON NUMBERS
Weapon costs, vehicle prices, statistics and unlock requirements come from the game’s own files, generated automatically — never typed by hand, never copied from another site. Until we can read them, we don’t publish them.
This is not caution for its own sake. A number typed into a sentence is frozen on the day it was written, while the game keeps moving; the sentence then goes wrong without anyone editing it and without anyone noticing. A number we cannot generate is a number we cannot keep true, so we would rather leave the gap visible.
The same applies to the store listing: the price, the release date, the platforms and the system requirements on this site are read directly from Steam rather than transcribed. When Steam changes, those pages change.
HOW DATES WORK
Every entry carries the date it was last checked, visibly, next to its title. A fact without a date is a fact you cannot trust twice — sources move, store pages change, and pre-release material goes stale by design.
On 10 Sep, 2026, when the game is released, everything written before that day becomes either verifiable or wrong. We hold a list of which pages need re-checking against the running game — ⭐ and that list is computed from the entries themselves, not kept by hand. Nothing depends on someone remembering.
THE AUTHORITIES WE RELY ON
9 official or first-party authorities are on file. If a fact cannot be tied to one of them — or to a named journalist, at the REPORTED level — it does not get published.
Named press — PC Gamer’s Morgan Park and Andy Chalk, Insider Gaming’s Grant Taylor-Hill, DualShockers’ Lauren Sayles — is quoted by name and date, at the REPORTED level, and never merged into fact.
WHEN WE GET IT WRONG
We will. When it happens, we correct the page and say what changed rather than editing quietly — ⚠️ a site whose corrections are invisible is a site whose accuracy is unverifiable. All 41 entries carry a visible checked date, and this page was last checked on 4 September 2026.
