OVERVIEW
The most searched question about any paid multiplayer shooter is what it will ask for after you have bought it, and BULKHEAD answered it in writing on 18 February 2026, on the game’s own store feed. The answer is four refusals and one commitment, in the studio’s own words: no battle pass, nothing that can be bought to win, no licensed celebrity skins, and — its phrasing, not ours — no nonsense. Cosmetics are earned by playing. We read the post at the source on 4 September 2026. That is a policy statement made seven months before Early Access, and it is the clearest one this studio has published about anything.
HISTORY
The February policy statement predates Early Access. The later metagame announcement describes development during that period, while the Season 1 changelog confirms a named season. A season is not evidence of a paid battle pass. These announcements document the studio’s statements at their respective dates; they do not establish every present or future purchase option.
WHAT IT CHANGES IN PRACTICE
The studio’s published position describes cosmetics obtained by playing, converting match currency into gold bars and using the Gold Market. Keep that dated position separate from verification of the released software. The official Season 1 changelog was published on 9 September 2026: the existence of a season is now explicit, but a season alone does not establish a paid pass or subscription. This article does not verify every purchase option currently available in the game.

A published monetisation policy is a dated commitment, not an immutable property of software. The statements cited here do not by themselves prove either permanent compliance or a reversal.
